GILFORD VILLAGE NURSERY SCHOOL NEW STAFF
The Village Nursery School in Gilford Village announces its teaching staff for the 2020-2021 school year. The school is led by Head Teacher and Director of 20 years, Nancy Simoneau. Joining Nancy this year is Kaitlyn Marcella.
Kaitlyn Marcella, Lead Teacher graduated from NHTI, Concord's Community College with an A.S. in Early Childhood Education and is currently working toward a B.S. in the same field from Granite State College. She grew up in Gilford with her parents and two siblings, and went to the Village Nursery School as a preschooler. She still resides in Gilford with her boyfriend, Kris, and German Shepherd dog, Jackie.
Caroline Drouin was a previous school board member and after substitute teaching at the school in the spring, has joined the staff as a full time Associate Teacher. Caroline’s degree is in Business Management and plans to enroll in additional Early Childhood Education classes in the fall. She lives in Gilford with her husband and three sons.
Amy Kulcsar, Associate Teacher, is a former Speech Language Pathologist. Previously she worked with preschool and school aged children in a variety of schools and settings focusing on early childhood education. Amy lives in Gilford with her husband and three children who attend Gilford schools.
The Village Nursery School has been a fixture on Potter Hill Road in the village for almost 40 years. There are currently openings in the 3-4 year old group which meets on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9am to noon, and the 4-5 year old group which has classes on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 9am to 1:30 pm. The school year begins on September 10th with parent and new student orientations on September 5th and 6th.
